Workplace mediation

Mediation is a confidential and voluntary way of resolving workplace disputes between individuals. It involves an independent, impartial person helping two more people reach a resolution to a workplace dispute that is acceptable and agreed by all

Mediators are totally unbiased and do not make judgments, decisions or determine outcomes. My role as a mediator is to ask questions that help to uncover underlying problems, assist the parties to understand the issues and help them to clarify the options for resolving their difference or dispute.

The overriding aim of workplace mediation is to restore and maintain the employment relationship wherever possible. This means the focus is on working together to go forward, not determining who was right or wrong in the past.

As with any relationship, conflict can happen in employment relationship too and can end up causing poor attendance, stress, low morale and affect productivity. If left unresolved it can escalate leading to conflict or costly employment tribunals and it may be necessary to use a more structured more approach to deal with it

I have many years of experience dealing with workplace conflict/relationship difficulties between colleagues, peers and managers. As a qualified mediator, I carry out workplace mediation at your request.   Call or email to find out more about the mediation process.
